147 Documentary Screening Fundraiser
After months on the road at multiple film festivals, we brought the 147 documentary home to Boulder!
We hosted an incredible night as we gathered to watch the documentary 147, a film that follows Steph Hauser as she takes on a grueling 147-mile run over 48 hours, with each mile symbolizing a day her son Zev battled for life in the NICU after being born at just 23 weeks gestation. As their stories entwine, Steph’s run and Zev’s fight for survival push the Hauser family’s hope to the limits.
On top of engaged community and connection, memorable fun, and unique opportunities to be invited into what we are doing here at 4those, we ate, drank, watched the film, and hosted an exclusive Q&A opportunity with the filmmakers (our friends at Farsighted Creative) and Steph and Ben Hauser.
If you’d like to know more about when and where you can see the film in the future, please sign up for our newsletter on the homepage and we will keep you in the loop!
147 has been officially selected at the following 2024 film festivals:
Winter Park Film Festival (Nominated for Best Active Sports Documentary)
Breck Film Fest (Nominated for Human Spirit Award)
Pike’s Peak docuFEST (Nominated for Best Colorado Documentary)
Rocky Mountain Women’s Film
Running 4those
After an incredible year of launching the 147-mile ultramarathon fundraiser in 2023, and completing an incredible fundraising running streak of running at least 14.7 miles for 147 days straight in 2024, we are building the foundation for something EPIC for the future of 4those! We are creating a “fund-racing” suite of athletic events to offer to the public in an effort to bring awareness to and raise money for 4those! This means that there will be a variety of events—all focused around the number 147, of course—that we will be beta testing this year and bringing to all of YOU in the future!
Here’s what we’re building in the coming years:
️ -1.47M run
-14.7M run
-147M run relay
-147M ultramarathon
-147M bike
We are working on in-person and virtual options and strategizing how to potentially expand to other sports down the line as we grow to intentionally include our micropreemie families! All future entry fees for these events will essentially be in the form of donations to 4those (we’re still working out the details of this, stay tuned) and participants will be able to independently fundraise as well!
We’ll be bringing you along on the journey of building the community movement around our mission of bringing hope, healing and possibility to our micropreemie families through our fund-racing opportunities!
Stay tuned for how you can participate and partner with us in the new year (we’ve got hashtags and everything, people)! I’ll be posting on Instagram @4thoseorg as we go, and feel free to DM us or email us to get involved!
